Vistra Ramps Up North America Funds Operations

Vistra, the corporate services company, has appointed five senior figures for its North America funds team: Frank Anduiza, Christopher Murphy, Sean Ward, Matt Podolsky and Tony Olivo.

The hires come after Vistra bought the Phoenix American fund administration and transfer agency business.

“Vistra recognises the growing need for cross-border solutions among clients in the USA and Canada, plus rising interest from international clients looking to expand and raise capital in North America,” the firm said.

“Vistra aims to remove the friction associated with the complexity of global business. To make this a reality for clients, Vistra has invested in building trusted and transparent customer relationships through the introduction of new enterprise account manager roles,” the firm said in a statement. 

Rosemary McCollin, head of funds commercial – Europe, UK and US at Vistra, is leading the initiative for the funds business in the US market.

Frank Anduiza is based in New York. He previously worked at Ultimus LeverPoint Private Fund Solutions, where he focused on solutions for alternative investment clients across the entire life cycle. He has worked at Citigroup, BNY and other firms.

Christopher Murphy is commercial sales director. His financial services industry career began with SS&C and he has since held key posts at Maitland, Gen II, and STP, specializing in closed-end, private equity, real estate, hedge funds and crypto funds.

Sean Ward, commercial sales director, will grow Vistra’s presence in the alternative investment sector, particularly in private equity, private debt, venture capital, and real estate. He has worked at MUFG and SS&C, and Bloomberg.

Matt Podolsky is VP of sales. He has worked Inland Securities Corporation, Realty Capital Securities, Atlas Resources LLC and most recently Phoenix American.

Tony Olivo is VP of sales, joining as part of Vistra’s Phoenix American acquisition. 

In July, Vistra appointed Caroline Baker as country managing director for North America. She is based in Canada.
